SecurityBot Slack Integration

Setup Instructions

  1. Navigate to Site Settings: Go to any monitored site and click "Settings"
  2. Connect Slack: Click "Connect to Slack" button
  3. Authorize SecurityBot: Grant permissions to post messages
  4. Select Channel: Choose which Slack channel to receive alerts
  5. Configure Notifications: Set your alert preferences

Notification Types

SecurityBot can send Slack notifications for:

  • Response Time Alerts: Notify Slack whenever ping time surpasses a maximum threshold such as 500 milliseconds (1/2 second).
  • SSL Certificate Expiration: Notify Slack whenever the days remaining before an SSL certificate expires equals certain days. Users can set this field in several ways, such as 60 (notify when 60 days remain) or 60,45,30,5 (notify at the 60, 45, 30, and 5 day marks).
